Bringing People Together to tackle isolation during lockdown 3

Bringing People Together (BPT) is a network designed to ‘connect people to others from the comfort of their own home’.

  • How do we get people together when our venues are closed?

  • How do we use the new technology when not everyone has the right device or the knowledge to connect?

  • How do we grow in confidence that we can keep people safe online?

Bringing People Together started to try and answer these questions.

In July 2020, the National Lottery Covid Fund supported us to explore these questions.

In this webinar we want to share our learning to help others and to widen the network by answering your questions

With over 14 groups in the Black Country, Staffordshire and North Shropshire, Bringing People Together is a growing network for organisations to feel confident when running groups online using the new technology.

People can join groups by landline, mobile or computer. BPT groups all share a set of principles based on inviting, welcoming and mutual respect. They may be focused on a geographical area or a self selecting feature - currently we have carers groups, LBPTQ+ groups, asylum seekers groups, and women’s groups.
