Environmental crime is an illegal act which can cause significant risk or harm to the environment, human health or both. Environment issues can include litter, fly tipping, dog fouling, graffiti, abandoned vehicles, dead animals, refuse collection, street cleansing, etc.

Noise from Commercial Premises

Noise and vibrations from commercial and industrial premises are dealt with by the Pollution Control Team


Streetlights and Street Signs

Electrical items such as streetlights and illuminated street signs are maintained under contract by Amey Highways. Please use the Amey Highways report form to report problems with such items.

For out of hours emergencies, please call 01922 650000 (call Amey on 0800 389 1732 for emergencies involving streetlights or illuminated street signs).



CCTV (closed circuit television) is used in Walsall to assist with the reduction of crime and the fear of crime through the operation and implementation of an efficient, effective and proactive CCTV surveillance service which provides best value for the borough.

From October 2017 the day-to-day management of the service was transferred to Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) who is an executive body of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).
